Sarah and husband Tom tried to have her own 'natural birth' children, but can't, so she turned to adoption. There have been some disappointments as mothers changed their mind about giving up their newborn to her. Finally she has a 'last chance' but it's complicated. She and her father try to confront 'their issues'.

Based loosely on "The Odyssey." Syd undergoes major life changes when he goes missing for several years on a hiking trip with Ron, to the wilderness. Syd returns, unrecognizable, with a mysterious, old woman and a "gift." Ron is still missing; Syd is suspected of murder.

The fading popularity of vaudeville threatens to leave LeRoi the Magnificent behind, with nothing but his romantic memories. Can this old dog learn the new tricks necessary for him to find love and happiness, or will he let the changing world pass him by?
